CARB-X and the R744 Clarification

Executive Summary

TransO2 is not primarily a direct-air-capture company. CARB-X's primary function is cabin CO2 management, with advanced pathways clearly marked as R&D.

Primary Function

CARB-X's primary function is passenger-generated cabin CO2 management. Advanced CO2 management is a secondary, R&D-stage pathway, and an optional ambient-air / direct-air-capture capability may be explored as an advanced research direction only.

What We Do Not Claim

TransO2 does not claim universal atmospheric carbon capture, guaranteed carbon-credit generation, or that captured CO2 automatically becomes refrigerant. Any such conversion would require purification, conditioning, certification and engineering validation, and is tracked separately from the THERM-R R744 pathway.

Engineering Insight

This publication describes conceptual frameworks and proposed architectures. Where quantitative figures appear, they are engineering projections intended for planning and are subject to experimental validation.

Disclosure

Advanced carbon-management capabilities are under research and engineering validation. Performance depends on operating conditions, energy availability, process configuration and applicable certification requirements.
