AQUA-R: Recovering HVAC Condensate as a Resource

Executive Summary

AQUA-R's primary water source is HVAC condensate — not a promise of fixed daily atmospheric water yield.

KeywordsWater RecoveryHVAC

Primary Source

AQUA-R is built around HVAC condensate as its primary source: collection, filtration, monitoring, storage and controlled reuse. Atmospheric water generation appears only as an optional advanced R&D capability for selected climatic and operational applications — no fixed litres/day figure is promised.

Water Quality

Recovered water is initially non-potable / utility water, subject to application-specific treatment and certification. Drinking-water capability is not claimed unless separately certified.

Engineering Insight

This publication describes conceptual frameworks and proposed architectures. Where quantitative figures appear, they are engineering projections intended for planning and are subject to experimental validation.

Why This Matters

Condensate recovery is a well-understood mechanical process; treating it as a managed resource — rather than draining it — is a low-risk first step ahead of any more ambitious water strategy.
