Executive Summary

Why every number on this website carries an explicit label — and why that discipline matters more than the number itself.

The Labels

Every engineering figure on this website is categorised: baseline, measured, validated, target, simulation, illustrative, concept, R&D, or subject to validation. Where a number is unnecessary for understanding, it is not shown at all.

Why This Matters For Sustainability Claims

Environmental infrastructure claims are only credible if they can withstand technical scrutiny from railway engineers, safety assessors and institutional investors. Conflating a design target with a measured result erodes exactly the trust that a genuine sustainability contribution depends on.

Engineering Insight

This publication describes conceptual frameworks and proposed architectures. Where quantitative figures appear, they are engineering projections intended for planning and are subject to experimental validation.

What This Means In Practice

TransO2 prioritises architecture, engineering logic, safety and integration over headline numbers — and will only publish measured or validated performance once it has actually been measured or validated.
